Nail Polish Stains

Just imagine this, you have this big party to attend to, you decide to apply nail paint without taking any precautions and accidentally spill it all over your carpet. Seems like the damage is permanent. But its not. The truth is if you take timely action then nail polish stain on the carpet can completely be removed.
You would need the following

  • Soft Cloth
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Hair Spray
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Water
  • Any good carpet cleaning solution
  • Damp the area of spill with water, start blotting the stain as much as possible. Do not scrub or spread the stain. Now apply nail polish remover to the soft cloth and start blotting the stained area. Use hairspray on the bottom of the carpet where the stain is. It will further help in cleaning the carpet. Be cautious to use adequate quantity as over usage might damage the color. Also please test the thinner for color fading properties before using.

    Synthetic Red Stains

    These are the stains which are made by things like tomato juice, other juices and some inks. Happens all the time at every place. Well the good part is that they can be cleaned with equal ease. You would need the following for it.

  • Soft cloth
  • Salt or baking soda
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Carpet cleaner
  • Soft soap
  • Begin by blotting up the liquid, and then add cold water to dilute the liquid further. Apply baking soda or salt to the area to help absorb more liquid. Vacuum the stain and repeat until removing the entire stain. Using gentle soap or carpet cleaner can also help you clean.
